Climate Control

Sky woman said 12 degrees. BBC man said 11 degrees. Don’t like BBC man. He doesn’t know. Sky woman knows. She said 12 degrees, dry in the West. She knows. I’ve seen her before. Not this year, last year. She was right then.

After weather, tea. Rice today. No tomatoes. Had tomatoes last year. Made me sick. Just rice. No colour. Coloured food’s bad. Make me sick. Not this year, last year. Tomatoes not good. Rice good. Weather good. Sky woman good. BBC man bad. Like tomatoes.

After tea, shower. Apple shampoo. Make hair smell nice. Dirty hair means go to ‘FastCutz’. Don’t like the scissors. Don’t like gowns. Hair cut bad. Clean hair good. Apple shampoo good. Shower good. After bed, breakfast. Bread sticks. Not jam. Jam makes me sick. Just breadsticks. Breadsticks good.

Mr Thompson comes. Mrs Thompson died. Old. Very sad Mum said.

He says, ‘Hi, Jordie.’

I say ‘Hi, Mr Thompson. 12 degrees. Dry in the West.’

Water good. Not cold. Makes Mum shiver. Float on top. Wear goggles. Look at bottom. Look at legs. Tiles on floor. Thirty four blue. Three cracked. Dirty plaster in the corner near the steps. Sky woman said 23 degrees. Bright sunshine. High pressure. Hot, hot, hot. Don’t like hot. Head hurts. Don’t sleep. Too hot. Sticky.

Last day at school. School finished. No more school. Bye bye Mrs Pearce. Bye Bye Jordie. Be a good boy at ‘Oakwoods’. Don’t want ‘Oakwoods’. Don’t want life skills. Stay over Wednesdays. Take clothes in a bag. Sleep in different bed. Make friends.

Mum said no swimming today. Friend coming. Peter coming. Mum’s friend. Don’t like Peter. Smells bad. Mouth smells bad. Rubbish smells bad. Don’t like Peter. Like swimming. Saturdays go swimming. Mum says Peter special friend. Go out for the day. Go zoo. Don’t want zoo. Want swimming. Animals not good. Dirty. Smells. Mum gives Peter kisses. Holds Peter’s hand. Don’t like Peter. Mum says change good. School finished. No more school. Bye bye Mrs Pearce. Bye bye Jordie. Be a good boy at ‘Oakwoods’.  Don’t want ‘Oakwoods’. Want school. Want Mrs Pearce. Want swimming. Don’t want Peter. Don’t want zoo.

Peter come for tea. Rice.

Peter says, ‘Have some meat Jordie.’

I say, ‘High pressure.’

BBC man said 16 degrees. Cooler in the evening. No Sky. No sky woman. New room. New unit. Not ‘Oakwoods’. ‘Oakwoods’ for good boys. Jordie not good. Jordie hits. Jodie broke house. Lots of people. Dinner time noisy. Breakfast time noisy. Tea time noisy. Push me. No swimming. No breadsticks. No apple shampoo. Go in bath. No shower. Shampoo smells like flowers. New bed. Not my bed. Too hot. Hot all the time. Radiator too hot. Cooler in the evening. Too hot. Light on all night. Stop me sleeping. Shapes on wall. Don’t like shapes on wall. Telly switched off after breakfast. No Sky. Make me mad. No hitting Jordie. Nurse comes. Arm hurts. Sleepy. Not bed time. Not night time. Sleepy all day.

Saturday Mum comes. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Mum comes Saturday. Bring breadsticks. Bring apple shampoo. Be good boy until Saturday. Go home. Go home. This year, not next year.

Sky woman said -2 degrees. Snow on the hills.  Jordie home. Santa came. Brought music. Put earphones in ears, listen to music. I-Pod. Like Cheryl Cole. Fight for this love. Fight, fight fight for this love. No Peter. Mum said Peter not a good friend. Jordie a good friend. Swimming on Saturday, then New Year. Stay up late. Watch fireworks on telly. Snow on the hills.
